lyrics

Life can be good
Life can get bad
Life can be happy
Life can be sad

I wish I could
Take all the bad
And make it all good
You know that I would
If only I could

I saw a man in my rear view mirror
Step right in front of a fast moving car
I watched him fly into the air
We couldn’t save him
He died right there

I read some news about a young man
Who came here to live in this “promised” land

But he had a name that wasn’t like ours
So they sent this man away to Iran

It had been years since he had been there
All of his friends and family were here

So this young guy one day just died
Afraid and alone, so far from his home
I broke down and cried

Life can be good
Life can be bad
Life can be happy
Life can be sad

I wish I could
Take all the bad
And make it all good
You know that I would
If only I could

la dee da day
la dee da doe
I know someday
I gotta go

If I could live forever I would
And I'd stay here with you
You know that I would
If only I could
