Seamoosey I dig it! The “Hey here come the mountains” refrain is begging for some sweet harmonies, and maybe a little picking.

Not to mention a long, dramatic pause after some killer solos, and then back into the, aforementioned refrain, a cappella with maybe just a big drum beat behind it. I think a crowd could get super into it.

Anyway, that’s my tequila inspired comment for the day. I like a lot.

about

Here is a song I recorded in my home studio today. This was "pitched" to me by my good friend Scott Gibson. Scott has collaborated with me in the past on songs such as the Railbenders "Glass Picket Fence" and "Black Chrome Horse." This song doesn't really fit as a Railbenders song but I wanted to record it for you because I like the idea and the visuals he is able to convey through his lyrics. It's a bit of a different style for me too. Hope you like it. Appreciate your comments.

lyrics

There are times when your soul tends to spin out of control
And darkness seeks to be your only friend
Well a walk in the pines helps to free your worried mind
And take you to some place you've never been

Hey, here come the mountains
To cleanse your body, and free your fettered soul
Hey, here come the mountains
To crucify, the deepest fears you hold

There are times in your life when your wrongs try to go right
But something just won’t seem to let them go
When a cool mountain stream is exactly what you need
To cleanse your worried mind and troubled soul

Hey, here come the mountains
To rest your body and tame your deepest fears
Hey, here come the mountains
To sanctify why you’re already here

Keep Climbing
Keep Rising
Keep Climbing
Keep Rising

There are times in your being when life’s harder than it seems
And you wonder if you’re taking the wrong path
Well the breath from the trees can give you some tranquility
And help to put you back on the right track

Hey, here come the mountains
To cleanse your body, and free your fettered soul
Hey, here come the mountains
To crucify, the deepest fears you hold

Keep Climbing
Keep Rising
Keep Climbing
Keep Rising

Hey, here come the mountains
To rest your body, and tame your deepest fears
Hey, here come the mountains
To sanctify why you’re already here

Hey, here come the mountains
To cleanse your body, and free your fettered soul
Hey, here come the mountains
To crucify, all the deepest fears you hold

Keep Rising
Keep Climbing
Keep Rising
